Chef Josef Keller's 1915 Deutschland Black Forest CakeJosef Keller (1887-1981) is the original creator of the renowned Black Forest Cherry Cake. At the time Keller was a pastry chef in the Café “Ahrend” (today called Agner) in Bad Godesberg, Germany. In 1915 he created the now famous “Schwarzwaelder Kirsch”, or “Black Forest Cherry Cake”. Soon thereafter Keller established his own café in Radolfzell, Germany. Chef August Schaefer apprenticed under Keller in Radolfzell from 1924 to 1927. After many years of collaboration, Keller gave Chef Schaefer his personal recipe book containing Keller’s handwritten original “Schwarzwaelder Kirsch” recipe. The book is now with August Schaefer’s son, Claus Schaefer, the current head chef at Triberg’s Konditorei Schaefer in Germany. In honour of Keller’s amazing achievement, The Bread Warrior is now offering our own interpretation of Keller’s original 1915 Black Forest Cherry Cake and offering it to the most discerning of foodies here in Zamboanga City. We feel confident to say that this very special cake will prove to be one of The Bread Warrior's most popular items to date. This is an unbelievably tender and moist cake that is frosted with a fluffy orange flavoured frosting that compliments the wonderful chocolatey taste of this deep dark chocolate cake. "Delivery to Your Door" - Driving in Zamboanga City traffic is no fun. Wasting valuable time that you can use doing more important things and spending your money on gasoline simply doesn't make sense .... and it's expensive. The Bread Warrior saves you time and money by delivering all our fresh homemade products directly to your home or office. While we do charge a small fee for our delivery service, between 40 - 60 pesos depending on your location, we think you'll appreciate the time, hassle, and money that we can save you by delivering right to your door. At this time we only deliver to the greater Zamboanga City region. We hope to expand our delivery area soon.
"Ordering in Advance" - Please order all products at least one day in advance. For larger orders, please allow 48 hours for production and delivery. Please note that on occasion we may require longer scheduling times to make and deliver your order due to high volumes of order requests and production delays due to electricity blackouts.
